Bells is a ripple pattern in baby weight yarn, Gingerbread
Boy has a plaid-like pattern on the edge with appliqued gingerbread boys in
worsted weight yarn. Snowflakes is one color with worked-in snowflakes
around the edge in sportweight acrylic, and Poinsettia is worked in blocks
(with the middle block missing for the tree) with appliqued flowers. Pine
Tree is a square worked in one piece with post stitches forming the tree
pattern in worsted weight yarn, and Irish Filet is a lovely, lacy open
pattern in bedspread weight (size 10) cotton.

I managed to get a dozen of these lovely Japanese lace crochet books!
This book was published in 1984 and has wonderful Japanese designs, although it is completely in English with all the
designs charted out. There are 32 designs, including cushion covers, doilies,
bedspreads, tablecloths, table runners, collars, edgings, and even a
beautiful runner for a spinet piano that has hydrangeas that look almost
two-toned! All are made in crochet cottons ranging from size 40 to size 10.
