LEARN TO DO FILET CROCHET IN JUST ONE DAY ($8.50) by Rita Weiss. Great tutorial on filet crochet, with nice clear line drawings; 24 pages of instructions and special tips. Patterns included are by Hartmus Hass: Snowstar doily, Fleur-de-lis table topper, Roses in Bloom square doily, Water Lilies doily, and a wonderful 54" square tablecloth shown on the diagonal on a square table - Candleglow. Designs also include a Welcome sign and initial coasters. All made in size 10 bedspread weight cotton.

THE CHENILLE BABY BOOK ($6.95) by Rita Weiss and Sandy Scoville. Three crochet sets and two knit sets, plus one crocheted and one knit afghan. One sweater matches the afghan, and all the other sets include bonnet, sweater, and booties. All made in worsted weight chenille except one knit set in sport weight chenille.

FILET CROCHET TABLE RUNNERS AND PLACEMATS ($5.95) by Hartmus Hass. Another wonderful set of patterns from the designer of the oval tablecloths in ASN1253! There are several pages of filet crochet "reviews", then on to the patterns: Posies with Panache, Sparkling Crystals, and Gather Round are runner and placemat sets. Rose Remembrance, Loving Affairs, and Lacy Bouquets are place mats. Also included are instructions for adjusting the length of the runners. All are shown in size 20 thread, but different sizes can be used if different widths are desired.

CROCHET HATS, MITTENS & SCARVES ($7.95) by Edie Eckman Nine complete sets, some sized for adults and some for children, but it wouldn't be hard to reduce or enlarge them, I feel sure. Five of them are fitted close to the head, three have "tails" (toboggan style), and one is a beret style. A nice assortment just in time for cooler weather! All use worsted weight yarn.

STUNNING SHAWLS ($5.95) by Melissa Leapman and Hartmus Hass. Midnight Star features join-as-you-go motifs in sport weight, Lacy Splendor features shells in worsted weight, Romantic Affair has a nice pattern repeat in sport weight, Blue Ecstasy also uses a nice all-over pattern in rayon chenille, and Floral Fantasy features another one of Mr. Hass' filet designs in bedspread weight cotton.

CROCHET A SACHET ($5.95) by Kelly Robinson

Ten lacy patterns - round, square, triangle, heart, pineapple, oval shaped! All very open and delicate, using bedspread weight crochet cotton.

DEFINITELY DIFFERENT AFGHANS ($5.95) by Diana Lynn Sippel. Woven Marvel uses squares with woven strips in the centers, Winding Rosebuds is a strip afghan with a really interesting woven rick rack look center in each strip and the look of little rosebuds and leaves. Spiral Skyway also has the strips with the rick rack centers but a different edging around each strip. Floral Magic is hexagons with "star flower" centers, and Double Take is an afghan version of the magic potholder - each square has a small double thick center in variegated with a nice edging. All use worsted weight yarn.

CROCHET GRANNY CHIC ($5.95) by Jean Leinhauser. Talk about retro, here are 6 granny patterns straight from the 70s! All use the traditional granny pattern, except for Rose Mosaics which is more of a "circle in a square" design. All worked using worsted weight yarn.
