FILET CROCHET TABLE RUNNERS AND PLACEMATS ($5.95) by Hartmus Hass. Another wonderful set of patterns from the designer of the oval tablecloths in ASN1253! There are several pages of filet crochet "reviews", then on to the patterns: Posies with Panache, Sparkling Crystals, and Gather Round are runner and placemat sets. Rose Remembrance, Loving Affairs, and Lacy Bouquets are place mats. Also included are instructions for adjusting the length of the runners. All are shown in size 20 thread, but different sizes can be used if different widths are desired.

ASN1284
CROCHET HATS, MITTENS & SCARVES ($7.95) by Edie Eckman Nine complete sets, some sized for adults and some for children, but it wouldn't be hard to reduce or enlarge them, I feel sure. Five of them are fitted close to the head, three have "tails" (toboggan style), and one is a beret style. A nice assortment just in time for cooler weather! All use worsted weight yarn.

DEFINITELY DIFFERENT AFGHANS ($5.95) by Diana Lynn Sippel. Woven Marvel uses squares with woven strips in the centers, Winding Rosebuds is a strip afghan with a really interesting woven rick rack look center in each strip and the look of little rosebuds and leaves. Spiral Skyway also has the strips with the rick rack centers but a different edging around each strip. Floral Magic is hexagons with "star flower" centers, and Double Take is an afghan version of the magic potholder - each square has a small double thick center in variegated with a nice edging. All use worsted weight yarn.
