Directions for making 12 fancy tassel dolls, using porcelain head and arm sets or a fashion doll with the bottom cut off. Complete instructions for making the tassels themselves are included (most are made of fine chenille yarn), along with l lots of suggestions for uses. Crochet parts are made with crochet cotton.

The flowers include: large rose, medium rose, jonquil, daisy, cone flower, zinnia, small double petal flower, large & small lace filler flower, small star flower, marigold, hydrangea blossom, day lily, plus a leaf spray. Complete instructions are given for assembling the bouquets, along with the actual yarns used for the tassels themselves; there are even hints for painting the flowers for a more realistic look. Flowers are crocheted with worsted weight yarn or embroidery floss.

Not for the beginner but oh so lovely, here are 12 patterns that have the lacy look of real Irish crochet. They're too pretty to actually use as placemats and cover up the delicate lacework! All are made with heavier cotton such as Speed-Cro-Sheen (size 3, I believe), but any size could be used if you wanted a different size mat or runner.
